At least it's fun to run -current on production servers :)
In case if you can have hot-swap server to test upgrades there and you 
carefully watch this mailing list and can suspect which things will 
break after each upgrade and which - not, it's OK.

Especially if you run opensource software, which can be recompiled at 
any moment, and you can easility change servers without disturbing 
working environment - why not?
