6-BETA1 iwi + wpa_supplicant fails, and sometimes silently re boots

Huh?  TKIP is a crypto module and is in the kernel (wlan_tkip).  You've 
enabled EAPOL protocol support which is necessary for using 802.1x to 
communicate with a back-end server such as FreeRADIUS.

I suspect the key thing is to get the necessary firwmare support in the 
card.
