hi,
i'm using an ibm x40 with a built in ath card (5212). problem is,
i can associate with my ap, but pinging the ap or another
notebook in my wlan doesn't work.
when i try to ping the x40 from a powerbook in the same wlan,
tcpdump -y IEEE802_11 show's the following:
21:42:31.738373 Beacon () [1.0* 2.0* 5.5* 11.0* 18.0 24.0 36.0 54.0 Mbit] ESS CH: 6, PRIVACY

192.168.170.37 is the x40
192.168.170.36 is the powerbook
the x40 sends an arp reply, which never reaches the powerbook.
pinging the ap from the powerbook works and i can see the
echo-request and reply packets via tcpdump on the x40.
here's my ifconfig ath0 output:

i already reported problems with ath under 5.4,
http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-mobile/2005-July/006742.html
so it seems things are getting better under 6.0.
thanks for your time + help
regards
toni
