strange route problem

This is really strange because the route is installed with :
route add -net 10.10.10.0/24 192.168.100.1
and if i do
route change -net 10.10.10.0/24 192.168.100.1
the routing table still reads route without netmask,
but it is working properly until dhclient renews again.
