5.3-STABLE failing to read 4.x-Stable hdd

im still relatively new to freebsd .. but if it only detects 1 partition on 
the 2nd hdd .. how will disklabel allow me to retrieve the data that is on 
there if it shows 1 partition using the entire hdd ?
