5.3-STABLE failing to read 4.x-Stable hdd

In ads1 i have: 

ads1 ad1s1c ad1s1e .... 

how do i rename those partitions to what ever it is there supposed to be.... 
Soz im totally new to this sort of thing in freebsd and clueless.
