For the record, the patch works for me as well.  Although it looks a lot more
like a workaround than a real fix, it's doing the job (I'm using my wireless
card now, in fact, thanks to the workaround).

If someone is working on the Real Fix and needs data, I would be very happy
to provide it.  Let me know.
