Forgot to mention I'm running -CURRENT as of a couple hours ago and I am now
seeing the rcorder core dump also as mentioned in another thread.

I'm getting these messages also and I'm not using mpsafenet=0.
This is the only error I'm getting also. I'm running on a p4 with a via
P4xbsa board. I just started getting these errors about the same time they
changed the default scheduler to 4BSD. I rebuild daily so .... Anyway I
still get these messages using sched_ule for a scheduler so I don't know if
that has anything to do with it.

Subject: ad0: TIMEOUT - READ_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=207594611

Hi,

My 6.0-CURRENT box says, such as

ad0: TIMEOUT - READ_DMA retrying (2 retries left) LBA=207594611
ad0: WARNING - READ_DMA no interrupt but good status

I replaced the ad0 with brand-new HDD, but I still got same messages.

The box has 3 HDDs(ad0,ad1,ad3) and DVD(acd0) drive, but the messages
comes only from ad0.

What is happening?
Cable problem or ATA controller problem?
