Transparent proxying broken?

Have a look at the thread "RELENG_5 ipfw problem" starting Aug 27 in 
this mailing list. There are hints about using a special kernel option 
and also me with a forwarding problem even with this kernel option. 
Please give your comments to this thread then also.
