make buildworld error with FreeBSD 5.3 RELENG_5_3

Are you facing problems with a plain 'make buildworld' (without
setting OSRELDATE) too?

Also, as Kris says in another mail in this thread, don't use -O3 in CFLAGS
as a global setting.
