5.3-BETA6 boot-time hang

Ah, disregard.  This was actually more closely related to an fdc driver
bug discussed in the "5.3-BETA5-i386-disc1 bootstrap failures" thread:

Guess I missed that thread.

hint.fd.0.disabled=1 is an acceptable workaround to me, at least for now.
