It depends.  Generally speaking, if you run "a bunch" of net apps,
HTT should be beneficial for response time, however, it will hinder
those applications that don't utilize threading and is CPU intensive.

A ``systat -vm'' can give you some useful information what your
application is like.  If applications needs to sleep and wait for
I/O, then turning on HTT may result in better performance.
