CDRW causes Thinkpad T41 to panic

I get the same panic with my Thinkpad R40.  If you build a
kernel without atapicam, then it boots just fine.  The cause
seems to be atapicam related.

I'm in the middle of initially building the system, but I'll
try to get more info when I can.
