Programming SIO

Dear All,
could someone help me with subj.
I started to program the async port and do need to open it for reading 
in 9600,7,N,1 mode.
stty -f /dev/ttyd0 cs7
like in 
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/serial.html is 
not helping.
Reading of documentation (man pages and web) for termios etc. did not help.

Could someone please supply me with the URL or piece of code?
