I just burned a DVD+R on-the-fly with you patched version and seed to be
is OK :-))
There seems to be a CAM problem:
If I:
$ mount /home/itetcu/cdrom
( fstab entry: /dev/cd0 /home/itetcu/cdrom cd9660 ro,noauto,nodev,nosuid 0 0 )
for the last-half (alphabetically sorted) the files are read incorrect
(mplayer doesn't recognise them rigt):

But if I mount :

and I try to play them from there all is OK, mplayer read them right.

My Plextor 708A was set as "generic-mmc"; btw what should one choose
here ? There are 2 Plextor entries in Setting->Configure K3b->Devices->Cdrdao.

Sorry.
I had k3b installed from ports (make install in
/usr/ports/sysutils/k3b/). I've did a make uninstall.
The new (you patched ..) version was installed like:
cd /usr/ports/local/k3b/ #my custom ports dir)
make PREFIX=/var/tmp/k3b install
No errors in the console.
I started it as normal user:
$ /var/tmp/k3b/bin/k3b
Which has resulted in some QT resources not being found (e.g.:
- splash screen: only the bottom (status) line
- no background in the "project view" window or in the "disk info"
window )
If you look at my previous email you will see something like "no themes
found".
