It is. Don't look into /usr/src/bin/, but into /usr/bin/:
anger:pjd:~> ls -il /usr/bin/pgrep /usr/bin/pkill
2002209 -r-xr-xr-x 2 root wheel 10036 23 Kwi 10:06 /usr/bin/pgrep
2002209 -r-xr-xr-x 2 root wheel 10036 23 Kwi 10:06 /usr/bin/pkill
