AMD64 vs i386 for FreeBSD

Does -CURRENT actually have this in it now?  A while back the emulation 
stuff needed to run x86 binaries while in amd64 FreeBSD was not part of 
CURRENT and the comments were that it was too unstable...

who is running his Opterons in x86 FreeBSD because he needs java :-)
