I have a jail of FreeBSD 1.1

you need one change in teh kernel to make it work properly
(1.1 can't cope with PIDs being > 65535 as they now are)
and a new copy of ps and netstat (and the other usual suspects) are 
required.

but "make buildworld" REALLY flies :-)
