Hi, I'm not on the acpi list, so I can't followup your postings. My T41 lockups ended when I rebooted in WinXP & ran "ps2 ide2 disable". In particular, all of the FN-xxx things (like brightness & volume) which cause on-screen-display in XP caused -current to lockup. CD-RW still works fine. Good luck & pls post positive results to -mobile or -acpi. Kent
