	POLA is actually the principle you are violating most by taking 
this stance.  You and I both know that this is -CURRENT, and is the 
place where big changes are made.  This is the place where this kind 
of change would be made, if ever.

	It is the less experienced/less knowledgeable people for whom we 
should be concerned about with regards to POLA.  And they would most 
likely be least astonished by a GENERIC kernel description that is 
well organized and makes sense, especially when compared to a larger 
NOTES file.


	Breaking your ediff is a minor problem, if the result is that 
many people coming to FreeBSD will be less likely to be confused by 
the old cruftage left laying around.

	If you don't want anything to change, then tracking -CURRENT is a 
really bad idea.
