Since I've been involved with preparation of 5.3-BETA1 for Alpha,
let me clarify this, because it may be confusing. This fix was
merged into RELENG_5 prior to rolling the BETA1 for Alpha, so
BETA1 already comes with this fix included.
The actual commit was made:
: revision 1.9.2.1
: date: 2004/08/23 04:26:55; author: marcel; state: Exp; lines: +1 -1
: MFC of alpha boot fixes for binutils 2.15 and gcc-3.4.2.
5.3-BETA1 kernel was built:
: FreeBSD 5.3-BETA1 #0: Mon Aug 23 22:50:09 UTC 2004
: root at ds10.wbnet:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC
loader(8) was built with this fix included, in approximately the
same time during "make release".
Cheers,
