5.3-BETA1 panic during boot up

You must have acpi either in your kernel or have the acpi.ko module available 
to be loaded by the loader.  Unfortunately the non-ACPI code that probes 
PnPBIOS devices results in this panic and so far I haven't figured out 
exactly why.
