what files are these? and how do I remove them?

Hi,
	First off I'm using vinum raid-0 on this filesystem and I'm running
gentoo:/usr/src/bin root$ uname -a
FreeBSD gentoo.ahze.net 5.2-CURRENT FreeBSD 5.2-CURRENT #41: Tue Apr 13 
22:30:51 EDT 2004

I can't delete two files and they do not show up with 'ls'

gentoo:/usr/src/bin root$ ls -al
ls: stty: Bad file descriptor
ls: sync: Bad file descriptor
total 4
drwxr-xr-x   4 root  wheel   512 Apr 21 18:07 .
drwxr-xr-x  26 root  wheel  1024 Apr 21 18:03 ..

gentoo:/usr/src/bin root$ rm -rf stty
rm: stty: Bad file descriptor

gentoo:/usr/src/bin root$ rm -rf sync
rm: sync: Bad file descriptor

I can move sync and stty anywhere on that filesystem but I am unable to 
move
it to another filesystem on the same computer.
How do I get rid of them?
