I had same problem with FreeBSD 4.8-STABLE (from cvsup 2003/05/23)
and 3ware 3W-7450 controller.

The problem was fixed bye the above patch, the 3dmd works well. Thanks!!
I think it should be included in the ports/sysutils/3dm, how do you think?
