gbde performance question

Eventually it will, but right now I have no access to any AES hw, so
I have put off integrating support for hw-assisted crypto until at
point in time where I can actually test it.

Sam says he may know of some AES able hardware in the pipeline, I'm
keeping my hopes pinned on that.
