groff/troff burning CPU (spinning?) after upgrade

I've got the same thing here... cvsup'd this morning about 9am CST.  
During a make world, troff just hangs.  The output file is zero bytes 
and it just seems that troff is spinning.  I'm doing another build world 
here and I'll see if I can trace it/truss it when it hangs.
