4.8 -> 5.0-CURRENT build error

Hello,

I'm attempting to do a 'make buildworld' for FreeeBSD 5.0-CURRENT on a FreeBSD 
4.8 box

# uname -a
FreeBSD  4.8-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE #0: Thu Apr  3 10:53:38 GMT 2003     
root at freebsd-stable.sentex.ca:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC  i386

I receive the following error when libpthread is built

 # cd libpthread
# ls
Makefile        man             support         test
arch            pthread.map     sys             thread
# make
building shared library libkse.so.1

Does anyone know something about this?
