Adaptec APA-1460 pccard not detected

the APA-1460 Adaptec 16 bits pccard worked quite well on the 5.1-RELEASE.
On 5.2, the pccard activation failed (please see below).
I read that the old pccard driver is broken,
 So .t does not compile at this time:

FreeBSD 5.2-RC1 FreeBSD 5.2-RC1 #2: Mon Dec 22 11:20:47 CET 2003 i386

Can you tell me what to do to debug this?
