makemap problem in virtusertable.

I'm running current as of two weeks ago I get the following problem when
doing a make in /etc/mail ...

makemap: virtusertable.db: line 206: key john at domain.com: put error:
Operation not permitted
*** Error code 74

This line contains ...

john at domain.com      j.smith at otherdomain.com

As far as I am concerned this line should be valid, does anyone have any
idea why this would be an issue ?
