fontconfig-2.1.92 considered harmful

This turns out to be because I built XFree86 from source (before ports
caught up with the new release), and it puts the freetype
headers/libraries in /usr/X11R6, whereas ports puts them in /usr/local.
This is a PITA to fix - not really sure how to do it, to be honest.
