How to ignore files that have colon in their names, when CVS checkout.

Thanks.

I do understand windows can't create file with ':' in its name. But I don't want it to prevent the whole checkout process.
I mean how can I skip these ':' files in the checkout? These files will be missing, it's OK. But if it stops, I can't get all the other files.
I try to add a .cvsignore in this folder, but it doesn't work. I also try to add ignore list in the TortoiseCVS's preference dialog, it doesn't work either.

Anything can I do to ignore these files, and get whole repository?
