beastie logo seen on TV

I was briefly watching the Discovery Science channel on TV a few weeks 
ago. I think the episode was called "Robosapiens".

It showed some software used by a person in a coma. (I am not sure how as 
I missed most of the show and was doing other things.)

But anyways, they showed a few times a graphic of the BSD daemon aka 
"beastie" on the display of that software. It was one of a few graphics on 
the display. My wife and I are pretty sure it had tennis shoes on.

Anyone heard of that software?
