Hi,

Based on FreeBSD Installer, you can see performance comparison between
12.1-RELEASE and 13.0-BETA4 during extracting base, kernel, lib32 and src:
12.1-RELEASE: ~850-1500 files/sec.
13.0-BETA4: ~360-500 files/sec.
