Can confirm, rtsx-1.0.h,1 works with Realtek RTS522A (X270) on FreeBSD
12.1-RELEASE-p10. After loading the kernel module manually and inserting an SD
card in the device, the keyboard stopped working. I cannot reproduce this
behaviour, as this issue did not occur after a restart while loading the module
at boot time.
