The only thing I can suggest is to try applying microcode updates, if any are
available. I remember seeing a number of reports of this issue when Ryzen was
released, and they were resolved by BIOS updates. I'm not sure why you're not
able to apply one. I doubt any amount of kernel debugging will uncover the
bug, it would be better to review any available AMD erratum notices for your
CPU and look for any that might be relevant here.
