I have successfully configured my sound system, and so far it is working,
however, after some time it stops working.
It is a Realtek ALC1220 chip that comes with a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Ultra.
symptom: after some time the sound stops. syslogd goes to 100% CPU logging VLC
logs. vlc can playback videos, however, I cannot skip to a position in a stream
any more - the process hangs.
dmesg says:
