            Bug ID: 251956
           Summary: Symlink /etc/os-release isn't created
           Product: Base System
           Version: 12.2-STABLE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: misc
          Assignee: bugs at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: gbe at FreeBSD.org

In r354922 support for /etc/os-release was added. On -CURRENT the symlink from
/var/run/os-release to /etc/os-release is created, but on -STABLE it isn't.

In etc/Makefile the INSTALL_SYMLINK macro is called, but no symlink is created.
