You could add the behavior you're looking for (bug 231526) locally with
/etc/dhclient-enter-hooks, documented in dhclient-script(8).  Something like:

case $reason in
BOUND|RENEW|REBIND|REBOOT)
        delete_old_alias
        ;;
esac
