I upgrading the kernel to r330489 and added:

options MAXPHYS=(1024*1024)
options DFLTPHYS=(1024*1024)

Since then, the following error occured:

The kernel is:

The select_tape script returns the current tape from the drive to the library,
loads the next one into the drive and returns.
