Yes, that thread does look like the same issue.  Thank you for your attention.

I also have this issue with break (ctrl-C), which is also new, and not
necessarily related?

(Personally, I just copied a 'mail' binary from another server, and am using
that right now.  But having it fixed in -STABLE would be a welcome relief.)

Sorry about the committer having hardware issues... inconvenient time, I guess.
