            Bug ID: 223528
           Summary: makewhatis does not implemented the -v option
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Only Me
          Priority: ---
         Component: bin
          Assignee: freebsd-bugs at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: wosch at FreeBSD.org

makewhatis does not implemented the -v option. If you run it, the option will
silently ignored:

$ makewhatis  -v man

on FreeBSD 10 I get:

$ makewhatis  -v man
man directory man
  man/man1
        reading man/man1/cat.1.gz
