Thank you HPS for your help.

I managed to have Mellanox ConnectX-3 drivers compiled into the kernel adding
this to the GENERIC configuration :
options COMPAT_LINUXKPI
device mlxen

"options OFED" does not seem to be needed for ethernet purpose only.

Loading mlxen and mlx4 as .ko of course works, but I would like to have them
compiled into the GENERIC kernel by default so that servers with these NIC only
can easily boot the installation CD / live CD.

Do you then think that it could be possible to have these 2 configuration items
added to GENERIC ?
