Bug ID: 203422
Summary: mpd/ppoe not working with re(4) with revision 285177
Product: Base System
Version: 10.2-STABLE
Hardware: i386
OS: Any
Status: New
Severity: Affects Some People
Priority: ---
Component: kern
Assignee: freebsd-bugs at FreeBSD.org
Reporter: lab at gta.com
I have run into an issue with re(4), ng_pppoe(4), and mpd. It involves the
last modification made to re(4) driver. Mpd/pppoe does not work if I
use re(4) driver with FreeBSD 10.2 stable (r288191). If I revert revision
285177 (last re driver modification) then everything works fine. NIC having
issue is:
re0: <RealTek 8169SC/8110SC Single-chip Gigabit Ethernet> port

Conversely I have a different NIC using re(4) driver that works with or without
revision 285177. This NIC is:
