GOG AND MAGOG - Part VII

The Split Personality Of Satan Is Seen In Gog And Magog

The present series on the Gog and Magog entities described in Ezekiel
38 and 39 has concluded the prophecies primarily speak of demonic
entities, assaulting the Spiritual Israelites – the Christians
who the LORD says are “brought forth out of the nations”
(Ezekiel 38:8). Although there is a physical dimension (as well as
temporal timelines) to the great cataclysm described in these passages,
the international military chaos described herein cannot be understood
without a thorough recognition of the supernatural identities involved.
Thus, we continue in our analysis of the mystical aspects of the text.

Readers familiar with the revelations the LORD has allowed us to
disseminate understand the triune nature of all creation – with a
particular emphasis on Zechariah’s epic two parts finite (or
evil), one part eternal (or righteous) heavenly formula. This Mystery
of Thirds has been repeatedly addressed at Christian Media and, since
we have categorically stated it is described by every prophet of the
LORD, we would expect to see the same outline in Gog and Magog.

Setting aside the obvious fact that Gog and Magog are routinely
described together, forming a self evident pair which is consistent
with the concept of two parts destroyed, one part preserved, there is
internal evidence within the prophetic sequence which points to the
same characteristics we’ve repeatedly encountered in examining
the doubled nature of the dragon’s deceptive output. It is self
evident there are two beasts in Revelation’s epic vision of the
Antichrist beast and the False Prophet, and this is directly related to
the LORD’s profoundly important statement in Zechariah:

“And it shall come to pass, that in all [creation], saith the
LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall
be left therein. And I will bring the third part through the fire, and
will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is
tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It
is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God” (Zechariah
13:8,9).

In previous literary and radio and television efforts, we’ve
shown the metaphysical attributes of the two beasts of Revelation 13
are shadows which help us to recognize the Spiritual substance behind
each manifestation. The Antichrist figure is uniformly associated with
Death, killing, murder, non-existence, and the outright rejection of
the life found in JESUS CHRIST. Conversely, the False Prophet entity is
always seen in conjunction with Hell, imprisonment, torment, unrest,
desire, consumption, and commerce – to say nothing of functioning
as a religious intermediary.

There are many other mystical attributes of both factions, notably the
connection between the Serpents who kill in Revelation, and the
Scorpions who torment. The Serpent’s heads which kill are seen in
the 6th trumpet of Revelation:

“And [the evil entities imaged as Serpent’s heads] were
loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a
year, for to slay the third part of men” (Revelation 9:15).

The Scorpions are specifically stated to lack the authority to kill,
but are compelled to capture and cause torment:

“And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but
that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the
torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man” (Revelation 9:5).

Back in Gog and Magog, the primary description of the attackers is
heavily coloured by descriptions of lethal weaponry, and clearly the
entire invasion is related to the efforts of Gog and his deadly
coalition’s desire to kill:

“…all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a
great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling
swords….a mighty army….[with] weapons, both the shields and
the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the
spears….” (Ezekiel 38:4; 39:9)

As the invasion unfolds, we’re introduced to a 2nd faction, which
is not part of the killing force, and they are particularly interested
in the plunder, and the acquisition of goods:

“Sheba and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the
young lions thereof, shall say unto [Gog], Art thou come to take a
spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? To carry away
silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great
spoil?” (Ezekiel 38:13)

The reference to the traders of “Tarshish” and the
“young lions” usually leads the Spiritually shallow
literalists to Spain, or the British isles (historic seafaring powers
which sailed to the New World seeking wealth), so they consistently
miss the central identity of an underlying Spiritual intellect
associated with commerce, captivity, and consumption. Further, few
notice the earlier prophetic connection between “Tarshish,”
and the King of Tyre, which is clearly an allusion to Satan:

“Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and
say unto him…Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect
in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious
stone was thy covering…Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day
that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee” (Ezekiel
28:12, 13, 18).

Throughout the Word of God, Tarshish (as well as Sheba and Dedan) is
not only associated with Tyre and Sidon (sometimes rendered as Zidon),
but the identity is consistently related to commerce and trade:

“The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid
waste…Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning
city, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honourable
of the earth?” (Isaiah 23:1, 8)

The connection between acquisition and commerce seen in the 2nd faction
mentioned in Gog and Magog (Tarshish, Sheba, et al), and the 2nd beast
of Revelation, is the identical thread of buying and selling. The
reader will remember it is the False Prophet whose mesmerizing power is
employed to control commerce:

“….he causeth all… to receive a mark….that no
man might buy or sell, save he that had…the number of his
name” (Revelation 13:16).

As previously stated, it is the Spiritual faction seen in the
“False Prophet” which does not kill, but torments through
the Scorpion sting – a torment which is attached to the image of
“locusts,” entities which are known for their voracious
appetite:

“All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust
consume” (Deuteronomy 28:42).

Thus, we have both Spiritual factions in the Gog and Magog passages
– the metaphoric Serpents and the allegorical Scorpions.
Obviously, the “third part” which the LORD will preserve --
the people who say “the Lord is my God” in Zechariah 13 --
are those whom He baptizes with the refiner’s fire (Luke 3:16).

Furthermore, there are many additional, very subtle shades of Spiritual
identity found in this amazing work, but the “natural man”
-- he that has received “another gospel” – the
version in which flesh and blood will inherit the kingdom of God,
“receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God…neither can
he know them” (I Corinthians 2:14).
