FreeBSD vm-test.agencymatrix.net 9.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 9.2-RELEASE #0 r255898: Thu Sep 26 22:50:31 UTC 2013     root at bake.isc.freebsd.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC  amd64
>Description:
We are currently running FreeBSD 9.2 on a Dell server with a Barracuda load balancer. This is one of the lines in our rc.conf file:

ifconfig_lo0_alias0="inet 10.0.0.55 netmask 255.255.255.255 -arp"

The server will hang and fail to boot up if "-arp" exists in the config.

The server will boot normally if you remove "-arp"

I also tried the new syntax "ipv4_addrs_..." and the server behaves the same way.
