            Bug ID: 192169
           Summary: resolver does not append interface ID to link-local
                    IPV6 records
           Product: Base System
           Version: 10.0-STABLE
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: Needs Triage
          Severity: Affects Some People
          Priority: ---
         Component: bin
          Assignee: freebsd-bugs at FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: clint at clintarmstrong.net

When link local addresses are returned from a DNS server, they should have
their interface identifier appended, but it is not. For example:

# host test
test has IPv6 address fe80::50
# ping6 barristan.clinta.me
ping6: UDP connect: Network is unreachable

Similar testing against the IP reveals that this would be fixed if resolver
would append the interface id of the interface that the dhcp response was
received on.

# ping6 fe80::50
ping6: UDP connect: Network is unreachable
# ping6 fe80::50%em0
16 bytes from fe80::50%em0, icmp_seq=1 hlim=64 time=0.320 ms
