FreeBSD freebsd.org 8.1-RELEASE FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE #0: Mon Jul 19 02:55:53 UTC 2010 root at almeida.cse.buffalo.edu:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
When using FreeBSD 8.1 on a default installation, there is an issue related to suspending a manpage. It affects sh, csh and tcsh shells. When reading the manpage, if you hit Ctrl-Z to suspend back to the prompt, you will get a "Suspended" message, but you won't see a shell prompt. You will have to hit Enter once in order for it to show up.
>How-To-Repeat:
1. Start a shell (sh, csh or tcsh) on FreeBSD 8.1
2. Write the command "man ifconfig"
3. Hit Ctrl+Z
3. Observe "Suspended" on the shell
4. Observe no shell prompt shows up
5. Hit Enter
6. Finally the shell prompt shows up
>Fix:
I have no fix or workaround at this time.
