Hello,

I've encountered this problem only once after a fresh FreeBSD
installation (no ports/packages, just after the first reboot). I
thought it might be important to tell the developers (looks like a race
condition somewhere).

It is very long time ago and I haven't seen this problem again.
Probably many things have been modified.

Please close the PR. I also cannot help with it anymore.
