>Description:
Toronto, Canada - GAO Fiber Optics (www.GAOFiberOptics.com ) has launched its optical power meter which provides wider power measurements and more standard wavelengths. The handheld optical power meter, in combination with a laser source, is used in the testing of fiber optic networks and for CATV installation and maintenance, LAN and WAN testing and quality assurance and acceptance testing.
The high performance optical power meter, model 800H, tests optical power within the wavelength range of 800 to1600 nm in both µW and dBm. Calibrated wavelengths include 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490 and 1550 nm. It has a memory capacity of 200 data items and has an auto-off function which kicks in after ten minutes of inactivity. This energy-saving power meter works continuously for 30 hours with a 3.7 V 3000 mAh rechargeable Lithium battery and uses FC, ST, SC or LC connectors.
