I have issue with Server IBM x3400 is hangs when option SMP in Kernel GENERIC. Server are work and quetly hangs in at unpredictable time. No affect press any keys on kbd. Reboot by power on/off only. ps -ax output consist many <defunct>'s before hangs. vlnru shutdown is not complete if enter shutdown -r in at time (when appeared <defunct>'s). I can't attached file with server ibm x3400 hardware details (more 100kb). I try two instance these (same) servers and I have this issue on them.
